Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix Postponed Amid Middle East Tensions
Formula One has confirmed that the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix, originally scheduled for April, will not go ahead due to the ongoing instability in the Middle East.
After thorough assessments of the situation and potential alternatives, F1 announced that no replacement races will be held in April, citing safety and logistical concerns. The decision was outlined in an official F1 statement.
In addition to the main F1 events, the corresponding rounds of Formula 2, Formula 3, and the F1 Academy will also be postponed and will not take place at their originally scheduled times.
F1 emphasized that the decision was made in full coordination with the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) and the respective race promoters, ensuring that all stakeholders were consulted throughout the process.
The postponements mark a significant adjustment to the 2026 F1 calendar, reflecting the sport’s ongoing commitment to safety, stability, and operational readiness amid regional uncertainties.
