Vice President Han Zheng will speak at the opening ceremony of the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and Business and Investment Summit in Nanning, Guangxi Province. The four-day event comes as China and ASEAN prepare to upgrade their Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA), broadening cooperation in agriculture, pharmaceuticals, digital trade, the green economy, and supply-chain security.
The expo will host around 3,200 companies from 45 countries across 160,000 square meters, showcasing advanced manufacturing, AI, and maritime sectors. Leaders from China and all 10 ASEAN countries will participate in the first China-ASEAN AI Ministerial Forum, highlighting technological collaboration.
Bilateral trade between China and ASEAN reached US$686.8 billion in the first eight months of 2025, marking an 8.6% year-on-year increase, underscoring ASEAN’s role as China’s largest trading partner.
