Man Charged With Murder After Woman and Two Boys Found Dead in Sydney Home

A 47-year-old man has been charged with three counts of murder after a woman and two young boys were found dead inside a south-west Sydney home.

A man has been charged with three counts of murder after the bodies of two children and a woman were found in a home in Sydney’s southwest.

Emergency services were called to the Campbelltown property just before 8pm on Monday following a Triple Zero call.

Police arrived to find a 46-year-old woman and two boys, aged four and 12, dead in different rooms of the house.

The man was arrested at the scene before being taken into custody.

Detectives later charged him with three counts of domestic violence-related murder.

He was refused bail to appear before Campbelltown Local Court on Tuesday.

Acting Superintendent Michael Moroney said it was an extremely confronting crime scene for investigators.

“It was a particularly violent crime scene,” he told reporters on Monday night.

Police said the victims suffered significant injuries, but authorities have not publicly released further details.

Investigators located several items inside the home that police allege may be linked to the incident.

“No firearms were found inside the home,” Acting Superintendent Moroney said.

Police said the man was not previously known to officers and did not have a criminal history.

Acting Superintendent Moroney said the man’s link to the three people had not been established at this stage, but police believe all four are known to each other.

A section of the street surrounding the property remained cordoned off on Tuesday as forensic officers examined the scene and detectives spoke with neighbours.

Police do not believe anyone else was inside the home at the time of the alleged attack.

The deaths come days after NSW Police concluded the latest stage of Operation Amarok, a statewide crackdown targeting domestic and family violence offending.

“I can reassure the public that domestic violence is a number one priority for NSW Police, and we will continue to prioritise DV offenders,” Acting Superintendent Moroney said.

During the operation, officers charged 865 people and laid more than 2,000 offences across four days.
