The Sri Lankan delegation, led by Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Aruni Wijewardana, is set to participate in the 13th round of Diplomatic Consultations with the People’s Republic of China to be held on June 17 in Beijing.
Wijewardana will co-chair the discussions with China’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sun Weidong.
The consultations aim to review progress and advance bilateral engagement in areas including political relations, economic cooperation, trade, investment, and defense.
The Sri Lankan delegation will also include Ambassador-Designate in Beijing, Majintha Jayesinghe, and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Sri Lankan Embassy in China.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the preceding 12th Round of Bilateral Political Consultations took place on May 30 in Colombo.
