The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued updated travel guidance for Emirati citizens, emphasizing precautions to protect themselves and their families while traveling abroad.
The ministry advised that travelers ensure their passports are valid for at least six months, complete all necessary visa and health requirements, and obtain comprehensive international health insurance covering the full duration of their trip.
Citizens are encouraged to register themselves and any accompanying family members via the ‘Twajudi’ service, which allows authorities to provide assistance in emergencies. The ministry also highlighted the importance of keeping the dedicated 24/7 emergency contact number for UAE nationals abroad and following official advisories and instructions in the destination country. Travelers should keep electronic copies of identification and travel documents for added security.
The guidance recommends planning trips through reputable travel agencies and car rental services, monitoring road and weather conditions, and adhering to local laws and traffic rules. Additionally, the ministry advised caution when traveling in unfamiliar areas and suggested air travel whenever feasible for safety and convenience.
