The President of the Asian Development Bank, Masato Kanda, arrived in Sri Lanka early this morning for an official visit aimed at reviewing key developments and strengthening ongoing partnerships.
During his visit, Kanda is set to tour the Colombo Port Control Unit, where he will observe operations and gain insights into port management activities. In the afternoon, he will join a special luncheon with private sector representatives, providing an opportunity to engage with business leaders and discuss economic prospects.
He is also expected to attend a reception and hold discussions with staff at the ADB’s Resident Mission office in Sri Lanka later in the day.
As part of his itinerary, Kanda will travel to the Kegalle District to evaluate the impact of Cyclone Ditwah and observe ongoing recovery efforts in affected areas.
The ADB President is scheduled to meet Anura Kumara Dissanayake tomorrow for high-level discussions before concluding his visit and departing the country on March 25.
