New Kia Showroom Opens at Altair Location

Global automotive brand Kia has strengthened its footprint in Sri Lanka with the launch of a new premium showroom at the landmark Altair Colombo, marking another step in the company’s ongoing expansion and customer-focused strategy.

The newly opened facility, which was recently unveiled to the media, spans around 2,700 square feet of prime retail space located at Retail 3 of the Altair complex. Positioned at a key entry point of the development, the showroom offers high visibility and easy access, placing the brand at the centre of one of Colombo’s most prestigious mixed-use destinations.

Designed according to Kia’s global retail identity standards, the showroom delivers a modern and immersive customer experience. The space reflects the brand’s emphasis on innovation, design excellence, and high-quality service, allowing visitors to explore its vehicle lineup in an environment aligned with international showroom standards.

Speaking at the launch, Kia Motors Lanka Chairman Mahen Thambiah highlighted that the new showroom reinforces the company’s commitment to the Colombo market. He noted that the expansion aims to improve accessibility for customers while strengthening engagement with the brand.

He further described the opening as an important milestone in Kia’s broader strategy to expand its presence in key urban locations and build stronger relationships with its growing customer base in Sri Lanka.

A highlight of the new showroom is the debut of the all-new Kia Tasman, the brand’s first double-cab pickup model, introduced to the Sri Lankan market alongside the launch. The model represents Kia’s efforts to diversify its portfolio and meet evolving customer needs across different vehicle segments.

In addition to the Tasman, the showroom features Kia’s full range of passenger and SUV models, offering customers a comprehensive view of the brand’s offerings. This includes popular models such as the Sorento, Sportage, Carnival, Sonet, Seltos, Picanto, as well as Kia’s latest electric vehicle lineup.

With this new addition at Altair, Kia continues to position itself as a leading automotive brand in Sri Lanka, combining global design standards with a stronger local retail presence to enhance the overall customer experience.
