Dubai has unveiled a large-scale initiative aimed at training around 50,000 government workers in artificial intelligence as part of its push to modernise public services and boost operational efficiency.
The programme, known as the AI Workforce Transformation Programme (AI+), is being spearheaded by Digital Dubai, in collaboration with the Dubai Government Human Resources Department and the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence under the Dubai Future Foundation.
Officials said the initiative is designed to prepare public sector employees for a future where AI plays a central role in decision-making, service delivery, and everyday administrative functions.
The training will focus on equipping staff with practical, job-specific AI skills to help improve productivity, enhance service quality, and streamline government operations.
According to organisers, the programme will be tailored to different roles across the government sector, ranging from senior leadership positions to frontline employees, ensuring training is relevant and accessible at all levels.
Authorities emphasised that the goal is to integrate artificial intelligence into daily government workflows, making it a practical tool for public service delivery rather than just a theoretical or technical concept.
The initiative reflects Dubai’s broader strategy to position itself as a global leader in AI adoption and digital transformation within government systems.
