Eleven years after launching in Canada, the clothing brand COS has launched its official Canadian online store.
The contemporary fashion line’s first foray into the country’s retail scene was a location at 85 Bloor Street West in Toronto. Additional stores followed closely behind in Montreal and Yorkdale Shopping Centre.
COS, which is part of the H & M Group, set up shop in Vancouver’s Gastown neighbourhood at 18 Water Street in 2017. A second Vancouver location opened in 2019 at 1070 Robson Street.
With more than a decade in Canadian retail, Linda Li, the managing director, COS North America, says it was a “natural next step” to launch a dedicated e-commerce platform, complete with Canadian prices.
“Over the past few years, we’ve seen an incredibly engaged Canadian audience. The interest has been consistent, considered, and growing,” Li says. “Now, we can offer a smoother, more connected experience: faster delivery, an expanded collection, and access to our Runway pieces as soon as they arrive.
Offering elevated staples in fabrics such as cashmere and wool, along with leather accessories spanning bags, belts and footwear, Li says the brand’s emphasis on cool, classic pieces resonates with Canadian fashion fans.
“It’s a market that values quality, craft, and timeless design — principles at the core of COS,” Li says. “There’s a shared appreciation for pieces that endure, and that alignment makes Canada feel not just important, but genuinely inspiring for us as a brand.”
Li notes the Canadian e-commerce launch is “an exciting chapter” for the company’s evolving relationship with Canada.
“Looking ahead, our focus is on enhancing the online experience, expanding access to more of our collections,” Li says. “And creating thoughtful moments that bring the brand to life for customers across Canada.”
