Tata Punch EV Facelift Launch Today in India: Expected Price, Range, and Key Features

Tata Motors is set to launch the Tata Punch EV facelift in India today, bringing refreshed styling, upgraded features, and the possibility of a larger battery option to strengthen its position in the competitive sub-₹15 lakh electric SUV segment.

The Tata Punch EV facelift is scheduled to launch in India today, offering updated design elements, enhanced technology, and improved performance capabilities. The upgraded electric SUV is expected to play a significant role in India’s rapidly growing affordable electric vehicle market, competing with models such as the Tata Tiago EV and Citroën eC3.

The facelifted Punch EV is likely to feature a modernised exterior with a revised front bumper, larger headlamp units with dark trims, and a cleaner design language. While the previous full-width DRL strip has been removed, slim daytime running lights and the centrally positioned charging port are expected to remain.

Inside the cabin, Tata Motors is expected to introduce several premium features, particularly in higher variants. These may include a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, ambient lighting, and a 360-degree camera system. Reports also suggest the possibility of Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which would significantly enhance safety.

In terms of battery and range, the current Punch EV offers 25 kWh and 35 kWh battery packs with claimed ranges of 265 km and 365 km, respectively. These options are expected to continue in the facelifted model. Additionally, Tata may introduce a larger 45 kWh battery pack similar to the Nexon EV, potentially delivering significantly improved range and performance. Teasers shared by the brand suggest the electric SUV could achieve over 590 km on a single charge under certain test conditions.

Pricing for the Tata Punch EV facelift is expected to see a slight increase due to the added features and technological upgrades. However, it is still likely to remain within the affordable electric SUV bracket, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious buyers looking for a compact electric vehicle with modern features.

Overall, the Tata Punch EV facelift is expected to strengthen Tata Motors’ presence in the entry-level electric SUV segment by combining updated design, improved technology, and enhanced range without increasing its size or losing its affordability appeal.
