Sri Lanka Cricket has appointed former Australian cricketer Jamie Siddons as the new Head Coach of the Sri Lanka National Women’s Team.
According to the official announcement, Siddons’ one-year tenure will begin on March 16, 2026.
Siddons brings a wealth of coaching experience, having led the Bangladesh National Men’s Cricket Team from 2007 to 2011 — his highest level of international coaching so far. He has also coached the South Australia Cricket Team (Redbacks) from 2015 to 2020 and the Wellington Firebirds from 2011 to 2015.
A Level 3 qualified coach, Siddons enjoyed a distinguished first-class career in Australia, captaining both South Australia and Victoria during his playing days.
He will oversee preparations for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in England and will begin his coaching duties with the team’s tour of Bangladesh scheduled for April-May 2026.
