The Road Development Authority (RDA) says Sri Lanka’s expressways generated over Rs. 441 million in revenue during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year holiday period, covering the eight days from April 10 to 18.
According to RDA Director General Anuradha Hettiarachchi, a total of 1,170,830 vehicles used the expressway network during this time.
He noted that April 10, which marked the beginning of the festive season, recorded the highest traffic volume, with 161,847 vehicles exiting the expressways.
The same day also brought in the highest daily revenue, totaling Rs. 59,815,450.
