Global superstar Pink faced an embarrassing ordeal in Sydney when she was denied entry to a hotspot due to lack of identification, despite having a reservation.
Pink, the renowned singer, found herself in an awkward situation at the Manly Skiff Club in Sydney. Despite having a reservation for a party of eight, she was turned away at the door for not carrying any identification. Witnesses, including Manly Market Manager Mark Eymes, recounted the incident, expressing surprise at the superstar’s unexpected rejection.
Pink, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, attempted to explain that she had secured her booking with a deposit but was still refused entry due to the club’s requirement of providing identification for temporary membership, as mandated by the Registered Clubs Act 1976. Despite efforts from witnesses to intervene on her behalf, Pink and her group left without causing any commotion.
Matt Hazell, Secretary Manager of Manly Skiff Club, later issued an apology to Pink and her companions for the inconvenience caused, acknowledging the misunderstanding regarding the ID requirement and pledging to enhance their processes in the future.
Pink, currently in Sydney for her Summer Carnival stadium tour, is accompanied by her husband Carey Hart and their two children. Despite this setback, the family has been enjoying their time in Australia, exploring popular tourist attractions during their downtime.
