Sri Lanka’s Nadeesha Dilhani Lekamge delivered a strong performance to claim the silver medal in the women’s javelin throw at the Asian Throwing Championships held in South Korea.
Lekamge produced a season-best throw of 56.79 metres, showcasing excellent form throughout the competition. Her consistent effort secured her a place on the podium and added another international medal to Sri Lanka’s athletics achievements.
The gold medal in the event was won by an athlete from Japan, while another Japanese competitor finished third to take the bronze medal.
