Middle East Film & Comic Con Abu Dhabi Rescheduled

Fans eagerly anticipating this year’s Middle East Film & Comic Con Abu Dhabi will need to wait a little longer, as the organisers have confirmed that the event has been postponed from its initial April schedule. Originally set for 24–26 April 2026, the convention will now take place from 11–13 September 2026 at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.

An official statement shared on the event’s Instagram explained that the new dates were selected to provide fans, exhibitors, and special guests with the best possible experience. The organisers said the extra time will allow them to prepare a richer line-up, including celebrity appearances, comic creators, exhibitors, live performances, and competitions for the region’s pop culture community.

The convention is renowned as one of the Middle East’s largest pop culture festivals, attracting enthusiasts of comics, movies, gaming, anime, cosplay, and television. Attendees can usually enjoy celebrity meet-and-greets, artist alleys, gaming zones, panel discussions, cosplay contests, and exclusive merchandise.

Following the announcement, several fans inquired about refunds, particularly those who had already booked travel or hotels for April. The organisers clarified that refunds are available via their ticketing partner and confirmed they would assist attendees who reserved accommodation through the official hotel partner, HotelMaps, to modify or manage bookings.

Many supporters welcomed the postponement, noting that the extra preparation time could lead to bigger celebrity reveals, additional exhibitors, and a more extensive event. Ticket holders were assured that their current passes will remain valid for the September dates, eliminating the need for any changes. Further announcements about guests, attractions, and ticketing updates are expected in the coming months as the event gears up for its rescheduled launch.
