Sri Lanka Cricket has confirmed that the 2026 edition of the Lanka Premier League will take place from July 10 to August 5.

According to an official announcement, the sixth season of the popular T20 competition will be staged across four venues: Sinhalese Sports Club Ground and R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, along with Pallekele International Cricket Stadium and Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium.

SLC also revealed that the registration window for overseas players will open on May 4, 2026, allowing international cricketers to enter the player draft.

The tournament will be organised by Sri Lanka Cricket in collaboration with The IPG Group, which manages the league’s commercial and event rights.

First introduced in 2020, the Lanka Premier League has grown into Sri Lanka’s leading domestic T20 competition, attracting both local stars and international talent.

Meanwhile, Samantha Dodanwela will continue in his role as Tournament Director, overseeing the smooth execution of the event.
