2026 World Cup: England Announce Full Squad List

England have officially unveiled their squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Ivan Toney and John Stones returning to the fold, while notable names such as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Phil Foden and Cole Palmer have been left out.

In attack, Noni Madueke and Ollie Watkins have secured their places, adding depth to the frontline alongside captain Harry Kane. Veteran midfielder Jordan Henderson has also been included, marking one of the more surprising selections in the squad.

Defensively, England will rely on a mix of experience and emerging talent, with John Stones joined by Jarell Quansah and Dan Burn among those selected.

The Three Lions have been drawn into Group L, where they are set to face Croatia, Ghana and Panama during the tournament, which will be hosted across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Speaking about the selection process, manager Thomas Tuchel admitted the decisions were far from easy.

“There have been many conversations over the past few days and some very difficult choices,” Tuchel said.
“Now that the squad is finalised, there’s a sense of relief and excitement. It brings clarity, and I’m looking forward to getting started.”

“Tough decisions are part of the job — they ultimately sharpen the team and give us a clear direction.”
