Netflix to Stream Artemis II Moon Flyby as Mission Kicks Off Today

For the first time in more than 50 years, astronauts are set to journey around the Moon as part of NASA’s Artemis II mission, marking a historic step in humanity’s renewed push into deep space exploration. The highly anticipated lunar flyby is scheduled to take place on Monday and represents a crucial phase in preparations for future crewed landings on the Moon.

The mission will see astronauts travel beyond low-Earth orbit, retracing a path not taken since the era of the Apollo program. This milestone underscores NASA’s broader goal of establishing a sustained human presence on and around the Moon, paving the way for eventual missions to Mars.

The lunar flyby is expected to last approximately seven hours, beginning at around 2:45 p.m. Eastern Time (18:45 GMT) and concluding near 9:20 p.m. (01:20 GMT). During this period, the crew will orbit the Moon, capturing valuable data and offering stunning views of Earth from deep space.

In a move aimed at bringing the experience to a global audience, the event will be broadcast live through multiple platforms. Viewers can tune in via NASA’s official website, as well as popular streaming services such as YouTube, Amazon, and Netflix, allowing millions worldwide to witness this landmark moment in real time.
