Photography Club of Davis Hosts Free Presentation by Lewis Kemper

The Photography Club of Davis is inviting the public to a free photography presentation by renowned photographer Lewis Kemper, featuring his travel photography highlights from 2025.

The Photography Club of Davis will host a free public presentation titled “If You Could See Where I’ve Been – 2025 in Review” on Thursday, February 19, at 7:10 p.m. at the Davis Library Blanchard Room, located at 315 E. 14th Street, Davis.

The session will be led by Lewis Kemper, a widely recognized photographer, writer, and instructor, who will showcase some of his favorite photographs captured during his travels in 2025. His featured destinations include the American River, Yosemite, Point Reyes, Alaska, St. Augustine, New Mexico, Utah, Mono Lake, Nevada, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

Kemper is the author of several notable photography books, including Ancient Ancestors of the Southwest, Capturing the Light, and Photographing Yosemite Digital Field Guide. His book Capturing the Light won the People’s Choice Award in Fine Art at the 2009 Photography.Book.Now competition, and Photographing Yosemite Digital Field Guide was ranked among the top 20 field guides.

In addition to his books, Kemper has produced training videos that have helped thousands of photographers improve their photography and post-processing skills. He is currently a Tamron Pro Team Member and continues to contribute actively to the photography community.

The event is open to the public and free of charge. However, it is not sponsored by the Yolo County Library, and the library does not endorse the views or policies of the Photography Club of Davis. More information about Lewis Kemper can be found on his website, www.lewiskemper.com.
