Ministry of Brands Expands with New Outlet at One Galle Face Mall

Sri Lanka’s first off-price retail chain, Ministry of Brands (MOB), has officially launched its second outlet at One Galle Face Mall, marking a major milestone in its fast-growing expansion journey since entering the market earlier this year.

The new store, located on Level 4 of the mall, opened its doors on 26 April 2026 and has already gained significant attention as one of the most notable retail launches of the year.

Founded as the country’s first off-price retailer, Ministry of Brands introduced South Asia’s debut of a global retail model that offers authentic luxury, premium, and high-street fashion at heavily reduced prices. The concept also promotes sustainability by redirecting excess inventory into the consumer market instead of letting it go to waste.

Following the success of its flagship outlet on Duplication Road, which opened in February 2026, the brand says customer demand has exceeded expectations, encouraging further expansion plans both locally and internationally. MOB is now preparing to enter Pakistan, with additional expansion strategies also being explored across South Asia and Australia.

The retailer offers more than 2,000 global and designer labels across categories including womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, homeware, footwear, and accessories. Shoppers can find brands such as Gucci, Valentino, Zara, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch, Lacoste, Puma, UGG, HOKA, and Nike’s Jordan line, among many others.

According to the company, the off-price model creates a “treasure hunt” shopping experience, with limited stock availability and daily new arrivals, ensuring that each visit offers something different.

The new One Galle Face outlet spans approximately 7,000 square feet and has been designed as a modern, premium retail space with clearly organised product sections to enhance the shopping experience.

Speaking on the expansion, company representatives said the strong response from Sri Lankan consumers reflects growing demand for accessible international fashion. They added that customer feedback is actively shaping improvements in both product selection and in-store experience.

Ministry of Brands also recently expanded its offering with a dedicated homeware and lifestyle section, further positioning itself as a one-stop retail destination. The store now includes fashion, sportswear, accessories, children’s items, and home essentials, with discounts reaching up to 90% off original retail prices.

With two successful store launches in less than three months and regional expansion underway, Ministry of Brands is positioning itself as a key player in transforming value retail across Sri Lanka and beyond.
