Zendaya Wore a Sheer Skirt Covered in Diamonds for Challengers Promos

As if Zendaya and her image architect Law Roach didn’t bless us enough during the Dune press cycle earlier this year, they’re back for more for her new tennis movie Challengers complete with a wardrobe to match. On her second day of press engagements to promote the forthcoming film, Zendaya went full tennis star in a sheer, netted skirt covered in dazzling gemstones, layered over a sporty Lacoste top and short-short set.

For a day of press in Australia, Zendaya slipped into a custom Lacoste cropped tank top with a high, sporty neckline and matching high-waisted brief, over which she wore a slinky skirt with a thigh-high slit. The skirt was a sheer, netted material to let the brief panty bottoms peek through, and though at first glance it looks like a simple white net fabric, it’s actually dotted with diamond-like gemstones to pick up the light as she moves; it’s also lower-waisted than the brief, so the waistline is clearly visible. Roach styled the tennis-inspired look with a pair of sparkly pumps and silver Bulgari jewelry, and Z wore her hair pulled up to show off the layered look.

We knew Challengers was going to be a true fashion feast, given that Loewe’s Jonathan Anderson did the costumes for the movie. For the Australian premiere, Zendaya went full tennis star in an on-theme green gown, then changed into a cute boxers look, one that is definitely going on our spring moodboards.

Her Dune looks were legendary, from the archival Thierry Mugler suit of armor to the his-and-hers jumpsuits moment with costar Timothée Chalamet to the gorgeous cutout gown she wore for the NYC premiere. Can she top it? The Challengers tour has just begun, which means we have weeks of inspiration to come — and probably plenty more tennis-themed ‘fits. Consider us seated.
