Men Rip off Train Seat Covers for Fun. Viral Video Sparks Outrage

Viral Video Shows Man Damaging Train Seat While Another Films Incident Onboard Moving Coach.

The clip, widely shared across social media platforms, shows a man inside a general coach of an Indian Railways train tearing apart a blue bench seat while another person records him.

Dressed in a pink shirt and blue denim, the man appears to be performing for the camera as he rips the seat covering, while his accomplice laughs in the background.

The individual has been identified by X users as Ankit Toppo, with many tagging his Instagram handle in the comments section as the video spread. The act has drawn sharp criticism, with viewers expressing anger over the damage to public property and the apparent attempt to turn it into viral content.

In the latter part of the clip, two other men are seen hanging from the coach fittings and moving around inside the train while it is still in motion, further raising concerns about safety and reckless behaviour.

Social media reactions have been swift and critical. “These fools are getting a kick out of this. They’re filming videos while ripping out train seats. People like these hooligans need to be dealt with properly,” one user wrote.

Another added, “What kind of mentality they are carrying with them? They think doing this makes them cool, but they are looking like a very big fool. Authorities should take very strict action as they are no more than a termite for a developing economy.”

The incident has once again highlighted concerns around the misuse of public spaces for online attention. Many users have urged authorities to identify those involved and take strict action, pointing out that such acts not only damage public property but also compromise passenger safety.
