Turkish Airlines has announced that it will increase the number of weekly flights between Istanbul and Colombo, adding two additional services to assist travelers and improve access to Sri Lanka.
The expansion comes after diplomatic discussions between Sri Lanka and Türkiye, which received a positive response from both governments.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka quickly approved the adjustments, allowing Turkish Airlines to enhance its connectivity and presence in the country.
The new schedule will be in effect from 5 April to 21 October 2026, providing travelers with greater flexibility for both arrivals and departures.
This move is expected to ease travel disruptions, strengthen Sri Lanka’s position in international air travel networks, and support the ongoing growth of the country’s tourism industry.
