Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Nepal, Ruwanthi Delpitiya, paid a courtesy call on Nepal’s newly elected Prime Minister, Balendra Shah, during a meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar, Kathmandu, on Wednesday.
According to a statement shared by the Sri Lankan Embassy via social media, the engagement brought together heads of several foreign diplomatic missions based in Kathmandu, reflecting broad international interest in Nepal’s recent political developments.
During the meeting, Ambassador Delpitiya extended Sri Lanka’s congratulations to Prime Minister Shah on the successful conclusion of Nepal’s elections and his decisive victory. She also reiterated Sri Lanka’s strong commitment to deepening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation between the two nations across key sectors.
