Sri Lanka Increases Fuel Prices From March 10

has officially increased fuel prices starting March 10, 2026, following a sharp rise in global crude oil prices linked to ongoing tensions in the Middle East.

According to the , the revised fuel prices are:

Petrol 92 – increased by Rs. 24 to Rs. 317 per litre

Petrol 95 – increased by Rs. 25 to Rs. 365 per litre

Auto Diesel – increased by Rs. 22 to Rs. 303 per litre

Super Diesel – increased by Rs. 24 to Rs. 353 per litre

Kerosene – increased by Rs. 13 to Rs. 195 per litre

The price revision comes as global oil prices rise above $100 per barrel, affecting economies around the world.

Economic analysts warn that the increase could lead to higher transportation costs, rising food prices, and additional pressure on household living expenses in the coming months.
