The opening trials were held at the SLLDC Grounds in Kirimandala Mawatha, where the two former fast bowlers actively engaged with participants, sharing technical insights, match experience, and mentorship to help shape the next generation of talent.

The initiative is led by Karwan Cricket Club Founder Babar Iqbal, together with Principal Partner Furqan Khalil, aiming to identify and nurture promising cricketers with the potential to reach international standards.

The talent search offers young players an opportunity to progress from grassroots cricket to bigger stages, with experienced mentors guiding them along the way.

With legends of the game leading the effort, the program marks a significant step in developing future cricket stars and strengthening pathways for Sri Lankan talent on the global stage.
