Grammy-winning pop superstar Shakira had been set to return to India this April for a series of highly anticipated shows organized under the Feeding India Concert initiative, in partnership with District by Zomato. Performances were scheduled for April 10 and 11 in Mumbai, followed by April 15 in Delhi. The tour was expected to mark Shakira’s first major visit to India since her 2007 Mumbai concert, nearly 19 years ago.
Fans, however, have been met with disappointment as organisers announced that the concerts have been postponed indefinitely. District shared the update via social media, explaining that no new dates have been confirmed yet.
According to the statement, the decision comes in light of ongoing geopolitical tensions and regional concerns, prioritizing the safety and well-being of fans, Shakira, and the production team. “Due to the prevailing situation, the Feeding India Concert featuring Shakira has been postponed until further notice. The health and safety of everyone involved remain our top priority,” the organisers said.
District confirmed that all ticket holders will receive a full refund through their original mode of payment within 5–7 business days. They also emphasized their commitment to rescheduling the shows and stated, “We are coordinating closely with the artist’s team to finalize new dates and will share updates as soon as possible. Feeding India Concert remains committed to its mission, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.”
The postponement has left fans expressing frustration and disappointment online, with many inquiring about compensation for additional expenses such as travel and accommodation. Organisers have urged ticket holders to direct specific queries to events@district.in and assured the public that further updates will be provided as soon as arrangements are made.
