All-rounder Sahan Arachchige has been selected to lead the Sri Lanka ‘A’ Team against the visiting Afghanistan ‘A’ Team during their five-match unofficial one-day series and in the only four-day encounter.
The five one day matches will be played at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium in Hambantota with the first match to be worked off on April 28.
The Afghanistan ‘A’ Team arrived on Tuesday and according to sources, the team also comprise of a few players who have represented the senior national team.
- The Sri Lanka ‘A’ Team:
Sahan Arachchige (Captain), Lahiru Udara, Minod Bhanuka, Nishan Madushka, Nuwanidu Fernando, Pawan Ratnayake, Ahan Wickramasinghe, Dushan Hemantha, Wanuja Sahan, Nimesh Vimukthi, Chamika Karunaratne, Chamika Gunasekera and Mohamed Shiraz.
1st ODI: April 28. 2nd ODI: April 30. 3rd ODI: May 3. 4th ODI: May 5. 5th ODI: May 7. Four-day match: May 11-14 at the P. Sara Oval.
