Primark’s UAE debut got off to a strong start, with the retailer attracting 10,000 shoppers and selling 80,000 items during the opening day of its first store at Dubai Mall.
The launch saw more than 1,000 people queue before opening, with the first customer reportedly arriving at 7am, three hours ahead of the doors opening.
Among the standout figures from the debut, Primark sold 15,000 pairs of pyjamas and underwear by the end of the day.
The opening marks the beginning of the brand’s regional expansion in partnership with Alshaya Group, with more stores planned across Dubai and the Middle East in 2026.
Spanning more than 60,000 sq ft, the flagship store offers Primark’s full value-focused range across fashion, beauty, home and lifestyle, as the retailer moves quickly to establish itself in the UAE market.
The strong opening-day turnout highlights high consumer demand and strong early momentum for the brand’s entry into Dubai.
