Grammy-winning rapper, songwriter, and actress Megan Thee Stallion is set to make her Broadway debut this spring in the acclaimed production Moulin Rouge! The Musical, marking a major milestone as she brings her talent from music and screen to the New York stage.
The limited eight-week engagement will run at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre from March 24 to May 17, 2026, during which Megan will portray Zidler, the charismatic nightclub impresario who guides audiences through the vibrant bohemian world of the Moulin Rouge cabaret.
Her casting is historic: Megan becomes the first female-identifying performer to take on the role of Zidler in any production of Moulin Rouge! The musical, adapted from Baz Luhrmann’s 2001 hit film, has been a Broadway sensation since 2019, earning multiple Tony Awards and thrilling audiences with its blend of pop hits and theatrical spectacle. The Broadway run is scheduled to conclude on July 26, 2026.
Producer Carmen Pavlovic praised Megan, calling her “a true global superstar” whose influence on music and culture is undeniable. Megan herself shared that stepping onto the Broadway stage is a creative challenge she is eager to embrace, noting that theatre requires a unique discipline and performance approach. She expressed excitement about revealing a new facet of her artistry to audiences.
