As Lok Sabha Election 2024 Phase 3 unfolds, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urges citizens to participate in the democratic process, with notable candidates like Amit Shah, Shivraj Chouhan, and Dimple Yadav vying for victory.

In the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections, voters across 11 states and Union Territories are casting their ballots, shaping the political landscape of India. With a 10% turnout by 9 am, the nation eagerly anticipates the outcome of this crucial electoral phase.

This phase witnesses significant battles, including Union home minister Amit Shah seeking re-election from Gujarat’s Gandhinagar, and high-profile contests in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. Maharashtra’s Baramati witnesses a fierce duel between Supriya Sule and Sunetra Pawar, while the legacy of the late Mulayam Singh Yadav looms large in Uttar Pradesh, with Dimple Yadav, Akshay Yadav, and Aditya Yadav in contention.

Overall, 93 constituencies host 1351 candidates, with a staggering 17.24 crore eligible voters, including 8.39 crore females. States and union territories participating include Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.

As the nation progresses through the electoral phases, with Phase 4 scheduled for May 13, Phase 5 for May 20, Phase 6 for May 25, and Phase 7 for June 1, the final countdown to the June 4 counting begins, determining the fate of all 543 seats.
