Apple may introduce vibrant new colours for its upcoming iPhone 18 Pro lineup, marking a major shift from its traditionally muted Pro model finishes.
Apple is reportedly planning a bold change to its iPhone colour strategy, with the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max expected to feature striking new colour options, including a deep red finish.
According to a Bloomberg report, Apple is testing a vivid red shade for the iPhone 18 Pro models, influenced by the popularity of the Cosmic Orange iPhone 17 Pro Max, particularly in the Chinese market. Traditionally, Apple has reserved bright colours for its standard iPhone models, while Pro variants have been offered in more subtle finishes such as graphite, silver and titanium tones.
The report also suggests that Apple may retain the orange finish introduced in the previous Pro lineup. Earlier rumours about purple or brown colour options are now believed to be variations of red currently under internal testing.
Meanwhile, Apple’s rumoured foldable iPhone is expected to take a more conservative approach. The so-called iPhone Fold is likely to launch in understated colours such as black or dark grey, and white or light silver, aligning with Apple’s premium and minimalist design philosophy.
Reports indicate that the foldable iPhone could be unveiled alongside the iPhone 18 Pro lineup in September, marking a significant milestone for Apple’s flagship devices.
