The Australian Council of Multicultural Entrepreneurs, Inc. (ACME) is an advocacy and networking organisation dedicated to supporting small businesses owned or operated by members of Australia’s multicultural communities. Established on 18 July 2012 in Melbourne, Victoria, ACME is expanding its reach across major business centres in Victoria, with a vision to extend nationwide.

ACME is an inclusive organisation that connects businesses and communities by delivering essential services to small businesses, start-ups, women, and students who aspire to contribute to Australia’s social and economic progress.

ACME envisions a future where multicultural entrepreneurs have a voice and impact on Australia’s socio-economic sustainability through maximized potential, business growth, networking, and grassroots community engagement.

History

Founded in Melbourne, Victoria, on 18 July 2012, ACME was created as a non-profit organisation to serve as a platform for advocacy and networking among entrepreneurs from Australia’s diverse multicultural communities. The organisation encourages members to expand their networks and learn from each other to achieve their entrepreneurial goals fully.

ACME’s mission is to unite small business entrepreneurs from various ethnic and multicultural backgrounds to discuss solutions for their entrepreneurial challenges. Additionally, it acts as a bridge for mainstream Australian businesses to explore opportunities in the members’ countries of origin.

Objectives

ACME’s objectives include:

Promoting small businesses owned or operated by entrepreneurs from ethnic and multicultural communities.
Facilitating the sharing of information and expertise to assist existing and new small businesses among ACME members.
Establishing ACME’s presence initially in Australia’s capital and major cities, with the goal of nationwide expansion.
Actively contributing to Australia’s economic growth by supporting members’ overseas business ventures and partnerships.
