Dubai to Transform Public Parks into Workspaces Under New ‘Work From Park’ Initiative

Dubai is set to introduce a new type of public workspace, with selected parks across the city being adapted to support remote working. The initiative, launched by Dubai Municipality, is designed to reposition parks as places that can accommodate productivity as well as leisure, reflecting changing work habits and a broader push to make public spaces more flexible and useful throughout the day.
The first site will open in May 2026 at Al Barsha Pond Park, where a dedicated workspace hub will be added within the existing green setting. Officials say the wider plan will expand to other parks later in the year, creating a network of outdoor-adjacent work environments.

What makes the project notable is the way it blends city planning with workplace infrastructure. The Al Barsha site will include modular units built off-site and assembled in the park using a construction method intended to reduce waste, shorten delivery time and limit environmental impact. The spaces will be operated through the Letswork platform, giving users access to facilities such as hot desks, event areas, podcast studios and creative production rooms.

Dubai Municipality is framing the scheme as part of a larger urban strategy rather than a standalone amenity. The project is tied to the Dubai 2040 Parks and Greenery Strategy, the Dubai Urban Plan 2040 and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, with the aim of supporting entrepreneurs, freelancers and small businesses while preserving parks as open community destinations.
