The newly formed Cricket Transformation Committee (CTC) took a key step forward today, as official appointment letters were presented to its members by Sunil Kumara Gamage.
The ceremony took place at the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, where several committee members formally accepted their roles in the initiative aimed at reshaping Sri Lanka’s cricket structure.
Those who received their appointment letters included Sidath Wettimuny, Thushira Radella, Prakash Schaffter, and Avanthi Colombage.

The Ministry confirmed that two prominent figures in the committee Roshan Mahanama and Kumar Sangakkara are currently abroad. Their formal appointments will be completed once they return to Sri Lanka.
The establishment of the CTC is seen as part of broader efforts to strengthen governance, performance, and long-term development within Sri Lankan cricket.
