The has announced that applications are now open for admission to Grade 12 of the Advanced Level Vocational Stream for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The program provides an alternative pathway for students who have completed the . Unlike traditional Advanced Level streams, O/L results will not be considered for admission.
Students who sat the O/L examination in 2025, 2026, or within the past three years can apply to schools offering the vocational stream in their respective areas.
Students entering Grade 12 will follow modules designed to develop soft skills and introductory knowledge in various vocational fields. In Grade 13, students will receive training at government vocational training institutes and also participate in workplace-based training.
Upon successful completion of the program, students will be awarded an qualification, which is recognized both locally and internationally.
The vocational stream offers training opportunities in a wide range of sectors including tourism and hospitality, automotive technology, information technology, health services, gem and jewellery technology, beauty culture, arts and crafts, food production, apparel studies, electrical and electronic technology, welding, construction, agriculture, aquatic resources technology, sports and lifesaving, as well as sales and logistics.
Students who complete both their school education and NVQ training will gain access to employment opportunities, higher education pathways, and entrepreneurship prospects.
