Anudi Gunasekara, Sri Lanka’s representative at the 72nd Miss World pageant, has returned home following the grand finale held in Hyderabad, Telangana, India on May 31st.
The global event featured contestants from 108 countries competing across various categories. Although Anudi did not advance into the final 40 contestants, ending Sri Lanka’s hopes for the crown, she delivered remarkable performances throughout the competition.
Notably, Anudi became the first Sri Lankan in history to reach the final rounds in the Head-to-Head and Multimedia categories, marking a proud milestone for the nation in the Miss World pageant.
