Air India has rolled out flexible travel options for passengers as rising tensions in the Middle East continue to affect flight operations.
Those with confirmed bookings made on or before February 28, 2026, for travel to or from the Middle East, the UK, and Europe—scheduled through March 10, 2026—are now eligible for complimentary rescheduling or full refunds if their flights are canceled. The airline is actively monitoring the situation and has resumed select services to and from Dubai and Jeddah to repatriate stranded passengers, prioritizing their safety and wellbeing.
Most Middle East operations will remain suspended until 11:59 PM IST on March 5, 2026. Air India, however, plans to resume scheduled Jeddah services from March 5 as follows:
- AI2255/2256 – Delhi–Jeddah–Delhi
- AI2251/2252 – Mumbai–Jeddah–Mumbai
- AI2245/2246 – Mumbai–Jeddah–Mumbai
Additionally, an extra flight AI909D/996D will operate early on March 5 on the Mumbai–Dubai–Delhi route using a B777 aircraft with increased capacity to help bring back stranded travelers.
Air India expressed regret for the disruption caused by the suspension of its Middle East flights and reaffirmed its commitment to assisting affected passengers with alternative arrangements, full refunds, or free rescheduling.
