Sri Lanka to Host South Asia’s First Three-Day Bob Marley Tribute Reggae Festival in 2026

Sri Lanka is set to make history by hosting South Asia’s first-ever three-day reggae music festival, One Love 2026 – A Tribute to Bob Marley, scheduled to take place from March 27 to 29, 2026, in the coastal town of Bentota.

The landmark festival will bring together six internationally acclaimed reggae artistes, making it one of the largest global reggae gatherings ever held in the Asia-Pacific region. The confirmed line-up includes Maxi Priest, The Wailers, Julian Marley, Ky-Mani Marley, Inner Circle, and Big Mountain.

Performances will begin from 5.00 p.m. each evening, with two headline acts closing each night. The opening day on March 27 will feature The Wailers and Maxi Priest, followed by Inner Circle and Big Mountain on March 28. The festival will conclude on March 29 with performances by Julian Marley and Ky-Mani Marley. In addition, four international DJs will perform throughout the three-day event.

The festival was officially announced at a press conference held in Colombo this week, where Maxi Priest joined virtually from New York, expressing his excitement about returning to Sri Lanka.

Organisers said the event is expected to attract a strong international audience, including visitors from India, the Maldives, Bangladesh, and other long-haul destinations, positioning Sri Lanka as a growing hub for international music tourism.

One Love 2026 is being organised by Sri Lankan-owned One In A Million Entertainment Ltd., operating from Europe and Colombo, in collaboration with Caribbean Entertainment. The organisers have previously brought renowned reggae artistes such as Shaggy, Diana King, and Big Mountain to Sri Lanka.
