DP World Begins Next Phase of Its Futuristic Global Headquarters at Expo City Dubai

DP World has entered the next phase of construction on its new global headquarters at Expo City Dubai, an eight-storey sustainable landmark designed to represent the future of innovation and international trade.

A ceremony celebrating the completion of the building’s foundation took place on-site, attended by Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and CEO of Expo City Dubai Authority, and Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Group Chairman and CEO of DP World.

The upcoming HQ — set for completion in 2027 — will span 301,940 square feet, housing 850 employees and welcoming 2,000 visitors daily. It aims to redefine workplace sustainability and architecture with a 10.45-metre cantilever, one of the region’s largest, creating a visually stunning “floating” design.

One of its standout features will be the Middle East’s first fully automated parking facility of this scale, accommodating nearly 1,000 vehicles, including 100 EVs, reinforcing DP World’s commitment to green innovation.

The first two floors will be open to the public, featuring cafes, restaurants, and collaborative meeting areas, while the iconic Flow Pavilion and Expo 2020 fountain — viewed by over 1.2 million visitors during the Expo — will remain as a central attraction, symbolizing DP World’s mission to “make trade flow.”

Reem Al Hashimy said the new headquarters reflects Dubai’s long-term vision:

“Expo City Dubai was built as a platform for innovation, sustainability, and global connection — values that perfectly align with DP World’s vision for the future of trade.”

Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem added:

“Our new headquarters marks DP World’s next chapter. It will bring together technology, sustainability, and talent to shape the future of trade — redefining how global logistics and supply chains operate.”

Once completed, the DP World Global Headquarters will further strengthen Expo City Dubai’s position as a hub for international business, connectivity, and collaboration.
