Abu Dhabi Tragedy: Falling Debris Claims Two Lives, Injures Three

Two people lost their lives and three others sustained injuries after debris fell from the interception of a missile by UAE air defence systems in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.

The incident took place on Sweihan Street, causing damage to several vehicles in the area. Authorities are investigating the event, and the identities of the victims have not yet been released, according to Abu Dhabi Media.

Residents have been advised to follow official sources for updates and refrain from sharing unverified information.

This comes shortly after a civilian contractor working with the UAE Armed Forces died in Bahrain during a routine mission following an attack attributed to Iran on Tuesday. That attack reportedly injured five personnel from the UAE Ministry of Defence.

Reported injuries among civilians have ranged from minor to severe. Victims hail from diverse nationalities, including the UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Comoros, Turkey, Iraq, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Jordan, Palestine, Ghana, Indonesia, and Sweden.
