Wrestling Icon Hulk Hogan Dies at 71 Following Cardiac Arrest in Florida

Hulk Hogan, the legendary wrestling superstar and global entertainment icon, has died at the age of 71, his representative confirmed. First responders were called to his Florida home around 10:00 AM local time following reports of cardiac arrest. He was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to the hospital.

Born Terry Bollea, Hogan became a household name in the 1980s and 90s, dominating the wrestling world with his signature red-and-yellow attire, roaring charisma, and entrance anthem “Real American.” His massive fanbase—affectionately known as the Hulkamaniacs—followed his mantra of “Train, say your prayers, and eat your vitamins.”

Beyond the ring, Hogan made a name for himself in movies, television, and pop culture, becoming one of the most recognized figures in entertainment history.

In recent years, Hogan’s legacy has been complicated. In 2015, he was removed from the WWE Hall of Fame for using a racist slur, but was reinstated in 2018. Despite the controversy, tributes from wrestling legends, celebrities, and politicians have poured in, recognizing his massive influence on sports entertainment and American culture.

Fans across generations continue to celebrate the impact of a man who turned professional wrestling into a global phenomenon.
