Two Telangana Men Killed in Dubai Bakery Attack by Pakistani National

In a shocking incident in Dubai, two Indian men from Telangana were brutally killed and one injured by a Pakistani national allegedly shouting religious slogans, prompting swift diplomatic action from Indian officials.

A tragic attack at a bakery in Dubai has claimed the lives of two Indian workers from Telangana, identified as Ashtapu Premsagar and Srinivas. The assault, reportedly carried out by a Pakistani national wielding a sword and shouting religious slogans, also left a third man, Sagar, injured. The victims were employees at Modern Bakery LLC in Dubai, where the violent incident occurred on April 11, 2025.

Premsagar, aged 35 and a resident of Soan village in Nirmal district, had been working at the bakery for over five years. His uncle, A. Poshetty, confirmed that the family was informed about the attack, which has sent shockwaves through their local community.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed deep sorrow over the loss, naming the victims and affirming that he had contacted External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to facilitate the urgent repatriation of their mortal remains. “Deeply shocked by the brutal killing of two Telugu youth from Telangana in Dubai,” Reddy stated on X. “The MEA has assured full support to the bereaved families.”

Union Minister of State for Home, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, also extended his condolences and confirmed coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian consulate in Dubai. “Deeply saddened by the tragic killing… The Dubai police have been urged to expedite the process,” he posted, acknowledging the swift response from MEA officials.

Indian authorities are now focused on supporting the affected families and working with UAE officials to ensure a thorough investigation and delivery of justice. The motive behind the attack remains under investigation as officials seek clarity on the attacker’s intentions and background.
