Two people have been charged after allegedly stealing Christmas gifts from homes in Sydney’s western suburbs.
Police responded to several incidents where property was allegedly stolen from homes in Parramatta, Merrylands, Granville, and Rosehill on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
A search warrant was executed at a property on Lennox St in Parramatta about 12.30pm on Friday, with police allegedly seizing stolen items including vacuum cleaners, luxury brand bags and shoes.
A 48-year-old man was charged with 12 offences including five counts of dishonestly obtain property by deception, three counts of breaking and entering a house and stealing less than/equal to $60,000, two counts of breaking and entering a dwelling-house with intent to steal, possessing a prohibited drug, and larceny.
A 47-year-old woman has been charged seven counts of dishonestly obtain property by deception.
Both were refused bail and will face Parramatta Local court later on Saturday.
