Three men tragically lost their lives in a harrowing incident in Rajasthan’s Shahpura district when they succumbed to poisonous gas while attempting to rescue bulls that had fallen into a well.
In a heart-wrenching turn of events in Aarni village on Monday night, the community’s efforts to save two bulls from a well turned fatal. Despite immediate intervention and the use of machinery to rescue one bull, the second rescue attempt led to a tragic outcome. Sukhdev, attempting to save the distressed animal, was overcome by toxic fumes, rendering him unconscious. In a desperate bid to save him, others rushed to his aid, only to fall victim to the same perilous gas.
The casualties include Dhanraj (26), Kamlesh (19), and Shankar (30), who lost their lives in the noble pursuit of rescuing the animals. Meanwhile, Sukhdev is currently receiving medical treatment.
The authorities have conducted postmortems and handed over the bodies to their grieving families. This incident serves as a somber reminder of the risks associated with such rescue operations and the need for utmost caution in such endeavors.
