The world’s elite padel players, Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia, are set to go head-to-head in an exclusive exhibition match at Space42 Arena on Al Raha Beach, Abu Dhabi, on February 18.
The Ultimate Padel Match will feature Coello teaming up with Jorge “Coki” Nieto, while Tapia partners with Federico Chingotto, creating a rare showdown not seen on the professional tour calendar. For the first time, the top-ranked FIP World No. 1 duo will compete on opposite sides of the court, giving fans a unique chance to witness the two stars face off directly.
Coello and Tapia have dominated the modern padel scene, boasting a 90% match win rate, a 47-match winning streak, and thirteen titles in 2025, including multiple major championships. Nieto, currently World No. 7, famously ended their record-breaking streak at the 2024 Premier Padel Finals and will now join Coello for this special event. Meanwhile, Tapia will pair with Argentine World Champion Federico Chingotto, ranked No. 3 globally and known for his defensive skills and court mastery.
“Hosting the world’s top players in Abu Dhabi for a head-to-head clash is a landmark moment for padel in the region,” said Mohamad Yehya, General Manager of Space42 Arena. “Padel’s popularity has skyrocketed in the UAE, and this exhibition allows fans to experience world-class action live.”
The event highlights Abu Dhabi’s emergence as a premier sports hub in the region, attracting international athletes and audiences with a calendar full of high-profile sporting events year-round.
