Sri Lanka’s young tennis prodigy, Revaan Amarasinghe from S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia, has once again proven his talent by leading the national boys’ team to a dominant 2-0 victory over Nepal at the ATF Under-12 South Asia Tennis Competition in Colombo.
The unbeaten Sri Lankan boys’ team showcased their skill and determination at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts. In the first singles, Nuren Wevita defeated Nepal’s Aryash Pauden 6/1, 6/1. Revaan then stepped up and crushed B. Dallakoti 6/0, 6/0, sealing the win for Sri Lanka.
Just a day earlier, Revaan had been the hero of Sri Lanka’s historic win over India, delivering a flawless comeback in singles and then teaming up for a decisive doubles victory. With four consecutive wins (three singles, one doubles), Revaan remains unbeaten in the tournament.
The team now looks forward to a thrilling final against Pakistan, while the unbeaten Sri Lanka girls’ team will face India in their final match.
