Flying in from Paris, the wide-body aircraft will perform a low-altitude fly-past over Colombo and Katunayake, offering a rare treat for aviation fans and curious onlookers alike.
📍 Flight Route & Time:
Between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., the A330 will cruise at about 1,500 feet along the Colombo shoreline, from the southern port city limits to Moratuwa.
✈️ After the scenic coastal route, the plane will head to Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) for a flyover before officially landing.
This event marks the first arrival of the new Airbus A330-200, a major upgrade to SriLankan Airlines’ fleet. The aircraft is expected to enhance both long-haul and regional routes, connecting Sri Lanka more efficiently to the rest of the world.
