She officiated in significant events such as the 21st FIBA Asia Under-18 Girls Championship in Malaysia (2012) and the 2nd FIBA Asia 3X3 Youth Games in China (2013). Her expertise also shone at the Pan Pacific Masters Games in Brisbane, Australia, in 2016, 2018, and 2022.
Beyond her referee duties, Fernando has made significant contributions to basketball development. She officiated in the Kumon National Junior Classic tournament in Australia and served as Assistant Coach of the Hampton Park Pioneers Under 12 team. Her commitment to nurturing young talent led her to found the BE BALLERS BASKETBALL ACADEMY in Melbourne, where she mentors around 40 young players across two locations.
