The Sri Lanka Women’s national cricket team has departed for India to take part in a five-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series, scheduled to commence on December 21.
The squad will be led by experienced all-rounder Chamari Athapaththu, with Harshitha Samarawickrama serving as vice-captain. The tour forms an important part of Sri Lanka’s international calendar as the team continues its preparations against strong opposition.
The first three matches of the series will be played in Visakhapatnam, while the final two encounters will be held in Thiruvananthapuram.
